We are faced with some kind of battle every day in our lives but the battles that we face are not ours they’re the Lord’s. So don’t be afraid when you’re going through your battles because God got your back. “Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15)
Many times our battle will seem so big that we can’t see anything except the battle. It’s in these times we have to know there is no battle too big for God. F or He is our King and He’s mighty in all our battles. “Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” (Psalm 24:8)
We have battles with our enemies. Our enemies are people who will try to rise up against us for standing up for what is right. We have them on our jobs and in our churches. This is an on going battle that will drain you spiritually and physically. Once this happens God will step in and give you the strength you need in this battle to put every one that rise up against you under your feet. “For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.” (Psalm18:39)
We also have spiritual battles that war against us. Satan is constantly battling against everyone that is on the Lord’s side. He uses every device he has to turn us away from Jesus and back into sin. But he can’t win because the Lord is right there to deliver us from every battle that wars against us. “He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.” (Psalm 55:18)
Sometimes battles hit us so hard until they leave us wounded, like an unexpected death of a close relative or friend, a divorce, or a serious illness. When we face these kinds of battles they make us feel like we are alone but God is with us. So stop trying to fight these battles yourself and release them to God and stand still and see the glory of God with you. “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle; set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:17)
So be encouraged today and always remember we don’t have to fear when we are in our battles because the Lord has promised He will fight for us. “Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.” (Deuteronomy 3:22)
